i have a alloy inlet manifold to take twin su carbs. I know people have asked in the past as to there availability? I had a guy at my place today that has casted manifolds for our supercharges and i showed him the one i have and if i sacrifice mine he can reproduce them. The question is i am right i have one. Does any one want them as we can reproduce them for $250 each and the possability of webers is also high? I need a show of interest to know if its worth cutting the one i have up,It will be a copy of 1 available years back. THEY WILL GO INTO PRODUCTION IF WE CAN GET 10 AND I NEED TO KNOW SOON AS. THE PROTOTYPE WILL BE FITTED TO THE WASP SOON.

Is this for a GT head or the standard G150?
Do you have pic's of the manifold to be sacrificed?

Hi Gt Orphanage I'm looking for one for my Group N. I did think I'd have to make a template and have one welded up out of Aluminium plate and tube so this is a very timely offer at a good price too. Thanks for posting this. I'm assuming they are compatible with the 1 1/2 inch SU's. If so put me down for one definitely. Andrew

Please correct me if I am wrong. The aluminium GT head and manifold has a square/rectangular port. The G150 cast metal head has round ports, though the bolt pattern is the same. For a G150 head you will need the late 1968/1969 alloy head for this manifold, i think this head has the right ports.

These manifolds will be the round port g150. most people with g161 square alloy heads should be right? if not this could be done also as i have spare ones.

OOPS Both my Belletts have the aluminium head with rectangular ports on the inlets. They also have slightly larger valves than the cast iron heads do - 41mm inlet and 32mm exh. Sorry for the confusion GT orphanage. I'll have to take myself off the list if these are for the cast iron head - but I'm still after a manifold for the twin Su's on the Al head which i now guess is the same as that on the GT?. I gather from your last post that you have some Gt orph? By the way, if anyone needs some exh. valves for the cast iron heads I have a set of NOS that i bought before I realised the difference in size Dalby Autopro in QLD sourced them for me at $20 each. I'll let them go very cheap to a Belletter who can use them if they are rebuilding a motor. I'd rather help someone out and see them used rather than sitting on my shelf taking up room destined for performance parts......like red paintif anyone wants themj ust send me a PM .

pearcesnr. sorry, slightly incorrect. so we all know what were on about, there were actually 3 different Bellett's heads produced. the earlier cast iron, round port 1500 sedan head. the later alloy 1500, square port 1500 sedan & 1600 florian head. and the alloy 1600, square port GT head. the 2 alloy heads are different in the bolt pattern where the manifold/s bolt on, as the sedan/flo had was a different layout to the GT. hence, there are 3 different manifold configurations for a Bellett. the cast iron and alloy sedan heads use the same bolt pattern, even tho the port shape is different. i know this as i was given use of an alloy sedan head twin weber manifold to use on my GT when i resto'd it (i was going to use webers on it....), but then found out pretty quickly that it didn't match the bolt pattern.... i'll be in my factory today, and i have cars with both of these alloy heads, so i'll get a couple of pics and post them. cheers.

Thanks PR91, thought there were differences but was not sure. That is the good thing of this forum, many people have been around Belletts and know the slight variations. This in the end saves time and money for others building their cars. Thanks for sharing.

ok, here's the differnece in GT to sedan manifold mountings: *the different mountings are across the entire manifold face, not just at cylinder number 1. i have only shown number 1 as it's the easiest to photograph and see easily for reference* sedan: note location of top bolt/stud on number 1 cylinder, circled in red. is at "1 o'clock". very basically, the sedan heads have the 'close spaced' bolts/studs along the top row and the 'wide spaced' ones along the bottom, while the GT is exactly the opposite. and yes, that makes the sedan and GT manifold gaskets different to each other too, just to make things a bit harder for us all....

Question oh Bellett sage's ... is there enough material in the head to re-drill the manifold bolts in the preferred format.
ie G150 head drilled for GT pattern ?
