Hiya Farmer,
Brighton has its fare share of low lying parts but my place is on top of the hill so it's nice and dry.
Spent the start of the week stuck on a property at Kilcoy near GT's place when saving cattle, Wednesday I went to my
youngest brothers property at Narrangba to check on things (He's been stuck north of Rockhamton all week) but
I couldn't get up the driveway as the dam had burst and washed most of the track away. I tried to get in but when
the water started going over the bonnet of the magna I pulled back and headed to my other brothers place at
West End to help move everything to higher ground before the 4am peak. His unit never went under in the end but
the 2 stories under him did!
There are a lot of people really stuggling with this one but we're all good.
Yesterday was a fun day though in a surreal sort of way. I spent half the day floating on a runaway pontoon with my
sister and her 2 boys, drinking wine and collecting debris that past us by. We went to Sandgate foreshore to have
a look at all the debris that was washing up and spoted this pontoon (12m x 4m) about 400m off shore so we grabed
a bottle of wine and swam out to it and floated in with it over a 4.5hr period untill it beached about 50m from shore.
We were visited by a kite surfer who then proceeded to steel a keg, fire extinguisher and safty gear off of it. We took
his photo and my sister is giving it to the Sangate police today. There are some low lifes around. As soon as my sister
sends me copies of the photos of our adventure I'll post a couple up.

Glad to hear all is ok with Greg, Liz and Gem. A street party is the best way to go. Keep the spirits high guys.

Stickman

I'll keep my eyes peeled for them. I'm heading back down the beach today to collect an 8m Red Cedar log that has washed up. Thats if the council cleaning crew doesn't dispose of it first. Problem is my youngest brother has my trailer and he's still stuck up north till monday.

Hey guys been meaning to say for all to take care up there.

In dire times when classic cars are threatened, I often say "Remember, lives can be replaced, classic cars can not!"

I am, of course, being facetious, but yeah, between the Black Saturday Kinglake fires and these Bilical floods, I'm wonder if a few have been destroyed here and there.

Hopefully everybody in Bellettnetworld is OK.

Cheers,

Dave
