i'll make a suggestion for ur cage...

brace it between the main hoop and the rear legs, across the rear door opening.
and also brace the front legs forward to the firewall.

trust me, these 2 extra pieces stiffens them up ALOT, especially the rear door tubes, as the body will move around without them.
and yes, this is from experience.

Wise words indeed PR, we will need to retro fit after the spray shop. Sadly I need to base all our timing on the sprayers since,as you probably know, ONE week to a spray shop can mean pretty much anything between ONE week and EIGHT weeks to us.

What about these extra leaves in the rear spring system?

Ok Pom you are opening a can of worms here.
I have 2 transfer springs on my street cars just doubled up. A forum member was kind enough to advise me on the way his is set up(it's not my place to print this on the forum). There is another compitition car that is very competitive that is fully independent if you get the idea the shocks restrict full travel. As both these guy's have been kind enough to past on this info on i am going to try both set up's and decide my own prefered set up. If you like i will see if it's ok to pass 2nd set up on to you. The first set up a forum member may pass it on ;). The rolie replacement that was a race car it has extra leaves fitted and another little peice of interesting set up that any farmer would be proud of. (no offence Matt) But if it helps it can stay.

No worries guys, I'll take as much or as little advice as you can spare, maybe me and the boys from Finland will develop a whole new European set up, although being a tarmac purist, I'm a little worried about their preference for the loose stuff. :lol:

let me get a pic under the rear of my race car, and i'll explain it.
it'll need a pic, as just words wont get the idea across. not a slight on anyone by any means, but when u see whats done, u'll understand why.
whats ur plan under the front? i can give u my specs too if u like, coz there are a few little tweeks that MUST be done!

That sounds excellent PR, I like pictures, they can definitely say a lot more.

The plan for the front is almost a straight swop for what we use on the Alfas, which is a sort of home brew concoction of race Alfa coilovers, own design roll bar set and some Bellett wishbonery.
Believe it or not, this will be within the rules. Although it won't be going on until after the March showing. When it's on I'll post photos and see what you think, and then we can start tweeking.

Really appreciate your help on this, PR.

Look forward to seeing the pictires of your rear end. (Am I allowed to say that in public?)

Hey Rod Good to see you entered for all Japanese day on Parliament House lawns next Saturday. Looking forward to seeing you there. The entry forms to date show only two Belletts, yours and mine. We'll take lots of photos to post for you all, especially of the rotary Mazdas just for PR91 to enjoy.

nice work, fair bit of wok gone into rollie already, in just a short space of time! what has been done so far i am allowing myself 5 or so years! keep it up and i look forward to seeing more pictures as rollie develops.

consider me inspired! just gotta get the all jap day out of the way and then i have somewhere with a TIG welder and some proper body tools to get underway on mine, just gotta get the other cars there out of the way!
