This is the 1971 Hunter 660 just done up by may mate Paul who is taking it to Chryslers on the Murray this week. Three months ago it was a complete but tatty white car, shabby interior, barely going and with electrical problems. This week it was registered. And Paul works full time.

The colour is "Vitamin C", a Charger colour of that time - still in need of cutting and polishing when this pic taken. Paul also has a 1971 Charger that he is doing up and will be painted to match.

Cheers, Vic

Hmmm...when looking at an eBay auction, phrases like "IF PRICE HASN'T REACHED MY EXPECTATIONS I WILL REMOVE FROM AUCTION" always set off alarm bells. If Geoff does not understand what an auction is, or can't figure out how to set a reserve, I'd hate to think what else he's likely to stuff up!

Well, no it doesn't have the 265 hemi - it does have a warmed over version of the 1725 alloy-head twin-carby GT motor which will give it a top speed over 160 km/h without destroying the handling balance (I can imagine what a 265 would do when placed over the Hunter front end  ).

The ebay car is nice, but I've seen better go for less - last year a '71 Royal with about 30,000 miles went for $2500 and it was in really nice condition. Royals were built with better quality interiors than standard hunters. Hunters are really under appreciated in the classic market.

Cheers, Vic

The handling wasn't that bad as most of the engine was behind the front wheels !!
The rear of the cylinder head was level with the front of the dash.

It was all trimmed inside so it wasn't noticeable.
Unless you wondered why it sounded funny.

The handling issues were limited to lack of traction (the nitrous made it even worse)
and until he put a proper shifter in it, locking the rear wheels when it went into reverse at 80kph  :o

The warmed 1725 would make it go really nice :D

Cheers
Rob
