LS TB on L67/ecotec
Hi guys,
What are people doing for the vacuum sources for things like the purge solenoid and charcoal canister as the LS TB doesn't have the vacuum ports on the side like the V6 TB does?

Re: LS TB on L67/ecotec
The purge solenoid comes from the charcoal canister above the diff, so there should only be one vacuum hose. I’ve seen them put brass fittings straight into the elbow, but on my old car I drilled through the side of the adapter plate that I made and fitted a press fitting in there like the factory one in the tb.

What ubend are you using and if its the stock one what adaptor plate are you going to run.
I made my own adaptor for the stock ls1 throttle body and drilled the adaptor for one fitting and cut out a section of the plate so the fitting on the throttle body worked

They mill out the adaptor so thats sorted you just need one vac line.
You may be able to drill one i to the side of the adaptor?

Bump on this 4 year old post.
But looking at doing ls1 throttle body onto my l67.
Do i just use the sensors that are on the ls1 throttle body
Tps and iac
Or do i fit the l67 ones to the ls1 throttle body ?

Re: LS TB on L67/ecotec
Have to use the LS 1's as they're both completely different & wont swap, but just plug & play from memory & then tune to suit!
Re: LS TB on L67/ecotec
Vxl67 getrag thanks for the info
Re: LS TB on L67/ecotec
vx l67 getrag doing this swap at the moment the l67 iac and tps wiring plugs straight into ls1 tb sensors, but do you remember if there is any settings i have to change in tuner pro etc.

You can quickly check the TPS by watching it in TP while you sweep it through it's range. IAC I am not sure but I have heard even with the V6s there were different IAC pintle angles which effect the air response vs the steps so there probably is some setting for that but I don't have any experience with IAC settings.
